FAQ
What is the PropSurvival rule changelog?

PropSurvival's rule changelog is the dated public receipt for every firm last-read and every engine update that moved a number — currently 59 firm rule sets / 243 account-size configurations. The date on an entry is when we opened that firm's own documentation, not a promise the page is still unchanged. Their docs stay the authority. Machine-readable twin: rule-changes.xml. Run against this corpus — free — nothing uploads.

May I treat a changelog date as proof a firm's rule is still current?

No. The date is when PropSurvival last opened that firm's own page. Their documentation remains the authority; this page is the receipt that we looked.

How do I get a machine-readable feed of these receipts?

Subscribe to https://propsurvival.com/rule-changes.xml (RSS). The same dated entries appear on this page.

Can I run my trades against the live corpus from here?

Yes. Open /app?src=changelog — the free in-browser run uses the same rule sets this log tracks. Nothing uploads.

Found a rule that changed before we did? Email support@propsurvival.com with a link to the firm's documentation. Confirmed corrections ship as preset updates and are credited here.

Two independent readers sourced it, as every firm here is, but disagreed on the SHAPE of its drawdown rule (trailing vs. static) — not a value within an agreed shape, which this corpus's own standard treats as a hard stop, not a judgment call. Its sourced data is preserved at rules/unverified/maven-trading/ and ships the moment a firm page states the mechanic without ambiguity. This batch actually added four rule sets: City Traders Imperium, E8 Markets, FXIFY, OneUp Trader.

Published firm count corrected to 59 / 243

Pages that name the live corpus again print 59 firm rule sets / 243 account-size configurations. Two earlier “added” receipts for traders-launch and funded-futures-family are withdrawn — those rule sets were never available to run.

  • What changed. Published counts move 61 → 59 firm rule sets and 250 → 243 account-size configurations. Two dated “added” rows that named firms not in the live corpus are removed from this receipt log.
  • Why. The published count must match the rule sets a trader can actually open in the free run. Advertising firms that were never available misled share previews and this receipt.

A licence renews at the price you bought it at

Price changes apply to new purchases only — an existing licence's renewal price never moves, verified directly against the merchant of record rather than assumed.

  • Verified, not assumed. The merchant of record's price-edit screen carries an explicit, optional "apply price changes to existing customers" field. Left unchecked — our setting — every current member keeps the price they originally paid; only a new purchase pays the new number.
  • Why today. This is what the raises below were waiting on: the Challenge Case File and Funded File price changes went live the same day, and neither one moves an existing member's renewal price.
  • Retired, not verified. Terms.html's earlier "we will email you before that renewal is charged" clause named one scenario — a renewal firing at a changed price — that grandfather now makes impossible for every existing licence: a licence renews only at the price it was bought at, never at a later published price, so there is no changed-price renewal left for that email to precede. The clause is retired as reconciliation, not as a verified capability — whether the merchant of record emails a member before any renewal charge remains genuinely unconfirmed; it is simply no longer a promise this site's Terms make.

A full sample of the $49 Personal Case File published

The Personal Case File — against the rules YOU set, not a firm's — is now sellable, and sample-personal-file.html lets you read the whole thing before you pay for it, the same standard every other paid tier is held to.

  • Same build, same standard. Generated by driving the actual product through a real browser and clicking the real button — the same method as the $29, $79 and $199 samples below, and the same build-time check refuses to ship it if it detects the paywall's masked-figure rendering.
  • Offered wherever its siblings are. Linked from pricing.html, the homepage and the FAQ — the release gate that shipped with the $29 sample (below) requires it of every tier that is actually on sale.
  • Checkout is open. The Personal Case File is a real, one-time $49 purchase — yours to keep, no renewal, ever — through Gumroad as merchant of record.
2026-08-05 · §sample-personal-file-published

A full sample of the $29 Situation Report published

Every paid document on the ladder can now be read in full before you pay for it. The $29 Situation Report was the one you could not, and sample-situation-report.html closes that.

  • The same build as the other two. It is generated by driving the actual product through a real browser and clicking the real button, exactly as sample-case-file.html and sample-funded-file.html are. Nothing on the page is hand-typed, and the same build-time check refuses to ship it if it detects the paywall's masked-figure rendering.
  • Offered wherever its siblings are. The ladder on the homepage and on pricing, the FAQ, and inside the app itself — the same places the $79 and $199 samples already appeared.
  • Held there by a release gate, not by habit. A tier that is on sale must now have its sample offered on every page where any other tier's sample is offered, and the homepage must offer all of them. The check reads the tiers from what is actually on sale, so any tier we put on sale later is covered the day it is — and the release fails if a document is sold unseen.
2026-08-04 · §sample-situation-report-published

Full samples of the $79 and $199 documents published

The Challenge Case File and Funded File were fully built and never shown to anyone before this. Now they are — the same code that builds a customer's file, run once on disclosed, unedited default inputs.

  • Real engine, not a mockup. sample-case-file.html and sample-funded-file.html are generated at build time by driving the actual product through a real browser and clicking the real "Build" buttons — nothing on either page is hand-typed. A build-time check refuses to ship either page if it detects the paywall's masked-figure rendering, so a sample can never accidentally show a locked view.
  • Inputs are disclosed, not tuned. Both samples run on the app's own stock defaults — the same numbers every first-time visitor sees before touching a slider — listed in full on each page.
  • Firm choice by fit, not by flattery. The Case File samples Apex; the Funded File samples Topstep, because Topstep's rule set actually carries payout and consistency data — Apex's does not, and a sample that can't show a tier's own headline sections would prove nothing about it.
  • Linked from pricing.html and index.html, wherever the ladder already describes what each paid tier answers.

Document Provenance section — a wiring gap left the rule-corpus field blank

Found while building the real sample documents: the real purchase flow never set the value the Provenance section needed. Checkout had not opened at the time, so no purchase was affected — the fix shipped before the field could ever render blank for anyone who paid.

  • What was missing. Every Case File and Funded File's §08 Provenance line states which dated rule corpus built the document. The value the real purchase flow needed was already computed and available on the loaded rule set — it was simply never passed to the document builder, so the line rendered blank.
  • Caught by building the samples, not by a customer. The sample pages use the same code path as a real purchase; building them honestly surfaced the gap before checkout opened, which is the difference a pre-launch product gets to use.
  • Fixed at the source. Both document builders now receive the corpus date directly from the rule set already loaded for that run.
2026-07-31 · §corpus-provenance-fixed

Published terms corrected — the annual tiers renew

The $29 Situation Report is a one-time payment granting one month. The $79 Challenge Case File and the $199 Funded File are annual and renew. Prices are unchanged.

  • What was wrong. Every published surface described all three paid tiers as one-time, and two of them are not. The entry of 2026-07-19 below said so in those words; it was what we believed then, and it is corrected here rather than edited there, because a log that is rewritten is not a log.
  • The term now has one source, like the price. A term is a promise about money, and it used to live only as prose on each page — which is how it drifted. It is now a field in the same single definition the prices come from, and the release gates compare every published term against it on each build, exactly as they already did for prices.
  • Nothing has been charged. Checkout is still not open, so no purchase was ever made on the wording being corrected. Each paid button still collects an email address.
  • Still to come. The Terms will state the renewal cadence, the amount and how to stop a renewal before any purchase is possible.
2026-07-26 · §term-corrected

The correctness gate — no number renders from a missing input

A missing input can no longer become a confident answer.

  • Across the product a value that was absent used to be read as zero, and zero renders exactly as convincingly as a real figure. That produced a drawdown floor quoted beside a balance of $0, a reset-cost comparison that read "continuing $0 vs resetting $0 — the two are equal" for firms whose fee we have never recorded, and a P(funded) of 0.0% shown as a verdict when no simulation had run. Every derived figure now states what it needs and shows nothing until it has it.
  • Every figure on a paid screen is traceable. A permanent check walks each screen, perturbs each named input, and proves every rendered number moves with an input it depends on — or is a declared constant with a stated source. A number nobody can trace is now a build failure.
  • Unknown firm fees are shown as unknown. At this pass only 2 of the 24 rule sets carried a verified evaluation fee at every account size. Where we do not have one, the cost sections say so instead of pricing the decision at zero.
2026-07-19 · §correctness-gate

Prices published — checkout not yet open

The ladder is public: Free $0, Situation Report $29, Challenge Case File $79, Funded File $199.

  • Every paid tier is a one-time purchase; none is a subscription. See pricing. Superseded on 2026-07-26: the $79 and $199 tiers are annual and renew — see Published terms corrected. This line is left as written, because a dated record of what we believed is worth more than a tidy one.
  • Nothing can be bought yet. Each paid button collects an email address instead of opening a checkout, and sends that address one notice when checkout opens — the licence key itself is issued by the checkout provider only after a real purchase, not by leaving an address here. Superseded on 2026-08-03: checkout is open. Every paid button is now a link to that tier's own product page at Gumroad, our merchant of record, and the email capture that stood in for it has been deleted rather than left dormant — see pricing. The promise this line made was kept: the addresses left here were told, once, that checkout had opened. This line is left as written, because a dated record of what we believed is worth more than a tidy one.
  • Prices now have one source of truth. The pricing page, the Terms and the internal product record are all checked against a single definition on every build, so the number you read cannot drift from the number you would be charged.
  • The $29 credit is stated plainly: it comes off the Funded File and does not expire. Superseded on 2026-08-03: there is no credit. It was withdrawn by operator decision before checkout opened and every surface that printed it has been cleared, because a page may not carry a promise nothing can redeem — see pricing for the ladder as it is actually sold. This line is left as written, because a dated record of what we believed is worth more than a tidy one.

Corpus expanded to 24 firm rule sets, with per-size verdicts

From 8 rule sets to 24.

  • The launch corpus below covered 8 presets; this pass took it to 24 firm rule sets, each read from that firm's own published documentation and dated on the day it was verified.
  • Per-account-size rules. Drawdown amounts, profit targets and daily limits are held per account size rather than as one figure per firm, so a $50k and a $150k account are modelled on their own numbers instead of a shared approximation.
  • Citability recorded honestly: at this pass 18 rule sets were point-cited and 6 were published as ranges where a firm's own documentation was ambiguous. The range is the finding, not a gap we filled by guessing.
2026-07-17 · §corpus-24-rule-sets

Licensing model — device-local, offline-tolerant, read-only on lapse

A licence is verified in your browser against the seller, and carries 2 devices.

  • No account is created and no trade data is transmitted — the only things that ever leave the device are a licence key and, if you type one in, an email address.
  • Being offline does not lock you out. A failed validation starts a tolerance window with full function; only a genuine lapse ends in read-only.
  • "Expired" never means data loss. Everything already generated stays on the device and stays readable, permanently.
2026-07-15 · §licensing-model

State-aware paid screens

A second question.

  • The free product answers "should I buy this challenge?". The paid screens answer "I am already inside one — where do I stand?", simulating forward from the account you are holding rather than from a fresh one.
  • Confirm before compute. The account state is read from your imported trades and shown back for correction — including the current equity, which a closed-trade file cannot see when a position is open.
  • The verdict is a comparison, not an opinion. It is measured against a threshold you set and can move; the number and the line are both on screen.

  • The Challenge Parameters sit above the verdict, in the same slider-plus-number cards as the Strategy Lab, so the on-screen order matches the workflow: pick a firm → enter your stats → read the decision.
  • One shared parameter set across tabs. Win rate, average win/loss (R), cost, risk, trades per day and account size are entered once and reused everywhere — change a value on either tab and the other follows.
  • You choose the simulation depth. The prop verdict runs at Fast (1,000), Standard (5,000) or Deep (25,000) paths; running the prop test also fills the strategy metric cards and issues the GO / REDUCE / NO-GO decision in one action. Every depth — Fast, Standard, and Deep — is free for everyone; the path count changes speed and smoothness, never the answer.
  • The risk-band optimizer no longer blocks the browser. The 0.10–5.00% scan runs in chunks with live progress on the button, so Deep runs stay responsive on every device.
  • An activated licence now survives being offline — and survives us. Once activated, a licence is never downgraded because a validation server is unreachable; only an explicit refund or revocation turns it off. If the product is ever permanently discontinued, the intention is to ship a final build with the licence check removed, so nothing depends on a server that no longer exists.
  • Licensing simplified to one free tier. The product is free and complete — no paid tier, no gated accuracy, no path-count lock — and rule updates ship free for the life of the product. Any future paid tier will answer a different, state-aware question (analysis of an account you are already inside) and will be described in the Terms before it is offered.

Engine v1.1 — two-phase modeling & verdict economics

Two-step programs now model Phase 2.

  • Firm Fit's funded probability composes Phase 1 × Phase 2 for FTMO, FTMO Swing, FundedNext Stellar, Funding Pips, and The5ers (Phase 2 keeps each firm's drawdown rules with its own 5% target and day window). Expected attempts and fee spend now measure the full path to funded, not just Phase 1 — this makes 2-step FX firms and 1-step futures firms honestly comparable, and generally raises the modeled cost of 2-step programs.
  • Expected attempts & expected fee spend are now computed free, at verdict level, for the selected firm.
  • Consistency-rule failures are now first-class in every verdict surface, including the executive card and the PDF report — previously they could be misattributed to "timeout" in the summary layer.
  • Verdict Card v1.1: the decision word (GO / REDUCE / NO-GO), failure cause, expected attempts and fees, and a miniature path fan with the trailing floor now appear on the shareable card.

Launch verification pass — all 8 presets

Eight presets, each read from the firm's own published documents.

Rule setProgramRules as read
FTMO / FTMO Swing2-Stepstatic 10% total, 5% daily vs. day-start, min 4 days, Phase 2 target 5%. Verified against FTMO's published terms.
Apex Trader FundingFutures Evaluationintraday trailing threshold on equity peaks incl. unrealized P&L, no daily loss limit in the evaluation, and no consistency requirement. The threshold is modelled as never locking — the conservative reading, because the documented lock is a funded-account feature rather than an evaluation one, and the rule corpus records that field as unresolved.
TopstepTrading CombineEOD trailing Maximum Loss Limit stopping at start balance, Daily Loss Limit vs. day-start, 50% best-day consistency to pass.
FundedNextStellar 2-Stepstatic drawdown, min 5 days, Phase 2 target 5%; consistency applies on some funded plans, not in evaluation.
Funding Pips2-Stepstatic drawdown, balance-based daily loss, Phase 2 target 5%.
The5ersHigh Stakes 2-Stepstatic drawdown, no time limit modeled as 60 days, Phase 2 target 5%.
MyFundedFuturesBuilderEOD trailing threshold that stops rising once it reaches the starting balance plus a fixed 100-dollar buffer, and no consistency requirement in the evaluation — the firm's own plan guides record consistency as none. The daily loss limit is per size: none at $25K, 2% at $50K. An earlier entry here named this product "Starter" and asserted a 40% consistency rule; neither is in the firm's documentation as we hold it, and both were corrected at the 2026-07-16 verification.

Engine v1.0 — commercial release candidate

Rule-faithful simulation, failure decomposition by cause, and a fully client-side architecture.

  • Rule-faithful simulation layer: intraday/EOD trailing drawdown, freeze-at-initial floors, consistency blocking with forced continued trading, per-firm time windows.
  • Failure decomposition by cause (daily DD / total DD / consistency / timeout), Survival Score, safe risk band, Firm Fit ranking, 10-section PDF report.
  • Fully client-side architecture — zero application-server communication; verify in airplane mode.
