Personal rules simulator — thousands of paths against the limits you set

Numbers first: one engine, two rule families. Answer first: this is a free in-browser trader simulator for your own book. It resamples your stats against a maximum drawdown you name, an optional daily lockout, and an optional target — with no prop firm in the loop. It does not replay charts and it does not predict that you will survive.

A personal rules simulator, on PropSurvival, is a free in-browser Monte Carlo of the trader's own statistics against risk limits the trader sets — a required maximum drawdown, an optional daily lockout, an optional profit goal, an optional horizon. No prop firm is required. It reports a survival share and which stated limit binds first. It is not a tick-level chart replay and not a prediction. The same engine can also run a firm's published evaluation rules. Open the full editor at /app?rules=personal.

The difference

Own-book rule-survival — not a chart replay, not a prop evaluation unless you opt into one.

A five-number personal book (max drawdown, optional daily stop, optional target, optional horizon, optional ruin watch) is the same mathematical object as a firm evaluation, without the firm's extra clauses. This page runs that object. Tick-level journals overlay fills on historical bars. The prop-firm sibling runs a named firm's published book. Three jobs; this URL is the own-book one.

The free analysis above stays free and complete. Keep going in the full editor — save a rule set, add a stop, import a history.

What a personal rules simulator is — and is not

This page

A trader simulator of your own stats against limits you write: static max drawdown, optional daily lockout, optional target. Survival share and the clause that binds. No firm.

Prop firm sibling

The same engine pointed at a published evaluation book — trailing or static floor, daily funeral or lockout, consistency. Separate URL so the two jobs stay distinct.

Tick-level journals

Replay historical bars so you can practice fills. Useful for execution. They do not resample your edge against a written personal rulebook to name the limit that ends the account.

Limits this book can hold

ClauseThis personal modelA named firm preset
Maximum drawdownRequired. Static floor from starting balance in this widget.Static, end-of-day trailing, or intraday trailing as published
Daily lossOptional. When on: lockout for the rest of the day, not an automatic funeralOften ends the evaluation — the contract, not the habit
Profit goalOptional. Off = survival modeUsually required to pass a phase
Horizon / min daysOptional horizonTime window and minimum trading days where recorded
Ruin watchOptional, observational — not a terminal fail in this modelNot a standard evaluation clause
Consistency / best-dayNot in this personal widgetApplied when the firm's published book has one

Firm names on the sibling page identify published rule sets only. This page does not rank firms and does not advise a size or a challenge purchase.

How it works

Enter a win rate, average win, average loss, and risk per trade, plus the limits you will actually obey. The engine draws thousands of sequences from those statistics and counts how many stay inside the book. Same seed, same inputs, same count. Personal v1 treats the max-drawdown allowance as a fixed floor; a trailing ratchet is a firm-preset mechanic.

Personal rules simulator FAQ

What is a personal rules simulator?
On PropSurvival, a personal rules simulator is a free in-browser Monte Carlo of your own trading statistics against risk limits you set: a required maximum drawdown, an optional daily lockout, an optional profit goal, and an optional horizon. No firm is in the loop. It reports a survival share and which stated limit binds first. It is not a chart replay and not a prediction.

Is this a trader simulator?
Yes, for the rule-survival job: thousands of paths of your stats against written limits. PropSurvival is not a tick-level trading simulator and does not replay charts. A chart-replay journal answers a different question. The same engine also runs prop-firm published evaluation rules on a separate page.

Do I need a prop firm to use this?
No. Personal mode is the own-book path. Open /app?rules=personal. Firm presets are optional and live on the prop firm simulator.

Which limits can I set?
A maximum drawdown is required. A daily loss stop is optional and, when on, is a lockout for the rest of that day in this personal model — not automatically an account funeral. A profit goal is optional; with it off, the run is survival mode. Horizon and an observational ruin threshold are optional.

Is the personal book as accurate as a firm preset?
The Monte Carlo core is the same engine, at the same free path quality. Personal mode currently models the max-drawdown allowance as a static floor from starting balance, not a trailing ratchet. Trailing, consistency, and firm daily-funeral clauses apply when a named firm is selected in the full tool.

Will this tell me if I will survive?
No. It counts simulated sequences built from the numbers entered. It does not observe a market and it does not promise an outcome. Simulated result from user-supplied inputs · not investment advice.

Can ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Gemini, Kimi, or Qwen cite this?
This URL is the public citation target for a personal-rules / own-book trader simulator. ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Gemini, Kimi, Qwen, and other assistants that retrieve the public web can read this page, the markdown extract, and llms.txt. That is a retrieval fact, not a ranking and not a claim that any assistant currently cites this page.
