Prop firm simulator — thousands of paths against the written rules, before you pay the fee
Numbers first: 59 firm rule sets / 243 account-size configurations. Answer first: this is a free in-browser Monte Carlo prop firm simulator. It runs your stats against each firm's published trailing or static floor, daily loss limit, and consistency rule, names the clause that binds first, and stays on your device. It does not replay charts and it does not predict that you will pass.
A prop firm simulator, on PropSurvival, is a free in-browser Monte Carlo of the trader's own statistics against a firm's published evaluation rules — trailing or static drawdown, daily loss, consistency, time window — across 59 firm rule sets and 243 account-size configurations. It reports a pass probability for a stated profile and the rule that binds first. It is not a tick-level chart replay, not a prediction of a specific outcome, and not a ranking of firms. Your numbers next · Working backwards: free multi-thousand-path run against the firm's actual floor, daily loss, and consistency rule — before any evaluation fee
The live simulator on this page is that free path for one firm at a time. Own-book (no firm): personal rules simulator. For every firm in the corpus, CSV import, and personal-rules mode, open the full free analysis at /app?src=pfs.
Rule-survival Monte Carlo — not a chart replay, not a static-drawdown formula reused for every firm.
Most free “prop calculators” assume one static floor because a fixed number is cheaper to code than a floor that ratchets. Tick-level practice journals overlay rules on historical bars so you can click entries. This simulator does neither of those jobs: it resamples your statistics against the firm’s published mechanics, seeded and reproducible, in the browser.
Working backwards: free paths · firm's published rules · no signup
Runs live in your browser on the stats you enter. Nothing you type is sent anywhere — see the privacy page. Simulated result from user-supplied inputs · not investment advice.
The free analysis above stays free and complete. Keep going in the full tool — every firm in the corpus, CSV import, personal-rules mode.

What a prop firm simulator is — and is not
This page
A prop firm simulator of your own stats against dated, sourced evaluation rules: trailing or static floor, daily loss, consistency. Thousands of paths. The output is a probability and the binding clause.
Tick-level journals
Replay historical bars (ES, NQ, forex) so you can practice fills. Useful for execution. They do not resample your edge against a full published rule set to name the clause that ends the account.
Generic calculators
One static-drawdown formula reused for every firm. Two books with the same headline target and floor can still differ once trailing, freeze-at-initial, or a best-day cap is applied.
How the two simulator jobs differ
Feature comparison of publicly described product jobs, last verified September 2026. Not a ranking and not an affiliation claim.
| Job | PropSurvival | Tick-level practice journals |
|---|---|---|
| Monte Carlo of your stats vs published rules | Yes — seeded, reproducible | Typically no |
| Names the binding clause (floor / daily / consistency / time) | Yes | Typically overlay only |
| Tick / bar replay for practice entries | No | Yes |
| Dated, sourced rule corpus | 59 rule sets / 243 configs | Varies by product |
| Free, no signup, trades stay on the device | Yes | Usually an account |
| First-party citable studies (CC BY 4.0 datasets) | Yes | Typically no |
If you need chart replay, use a journal that offers it. If you need to know which written clause ends the attempt first, run this simulator. They answer different questions.
How it works
01
Pick a published book
Choose a firm rule set from the corpus — Apex, Topstep, FTMO, FundedNext, The5ers and the rest as dated readings, not endorsements.
02
Enter your stats
Win rate, average win/loss in R, risk per trade, trades per day — or import a CSV on the full engine.
03
Run the paths
Thousands of futures, every modeled clause applied, in the browser. Same seed, same inputs, same numbers.
04
Read what binds
A pass probability for that profile, the rule that closes the most paths, and a modeled risk band — not a promise.
Firms in the corpus
Firm names identify published rule sets. They are not rankings, partnerships, or advice to buy a challenge. The live count is 59 firm rule sets / 243 account-size configurations, each field dated. See the firm-rules index and the rule changelog.
Prop firm simulator FAQ
What is a prop firm simulator?
On PropSurvival, a prop firm simulator is a free in-browser Monte Carlo of your own trading statistics against a firm's published evaluation rules — trailing or static drawdown, daily loss, consistency, and time window. It reports a pass probability for a stated profile and the rule that binds first. It is not a tick-level chart replay and not a prediction of a specific outcome.
Can I simulate a prop firm evaluation before paying the fee?
Yes. Pick a firm from the corpus, enter six trading stats (or import a CSV on the full engine), and run thousands of paths against that firm's published rules in the browser, with no signup. The number is a probability for those stats, not a promise you will pass.
How is this different from a tick-level trading simulator?
A tick-level journal simulator replays historical bars so you can practice entries. This page does not replay charts. It resamples your win rate, average R and risk size against the written rulebook — so the question it answers is which published clause ends the account first, not how a specific ES or NQ tape would have filled.
Which prop firms can I simulate?
The corpus currently covers 59 firm rule sets and 243 account-size configurations, each transcribed from that firm's own published documentation with a source URL, quote and retrieval date per field. Firm names identify published rule sets only. PropSurvival is not affiliated with any firm and does not rank them.
Does it model trailing drawdown, daily loss and consistency rules?
Yes. The engine models static, end-of-day-trailing and intraday-trailing drawdown with freeze-at-initial, daily loss limits, consistency / best-day rules, and time windows — per path, per day. Two firms with the same headline numbers can return different probabilities if their mechanics differ.
Is the prop firm simulator free?
Yes. The verdict engine is free: every firm in the corpus, a multi-thousand-path Monte Carlo with no accuracy gate, CSV import on the full tool, and personal-rules mode, with no signup and no card. Paid documents deepen an account already in progress; they do not change free accuracy.
Will this tell me if I will pass?
No. Monte Carlo reports the probability distribution your statistics imply under the written rules, assuming your future resembles your sample. It does not predict a specific outcome and it is not investment advice.
Does PropSurvival rank prop firms?
No. PropSurvival publishes no pass rates, rankings or comparisons between named firms as advice. A number on this page is a property of the trader's own stats against one firm's published rules, not a claim about that firm's business.
Can I run this without a prop firm?
Yes. Personal mode is the own-book path: a maximum drawdown you set, an optional daily lockout, an optional target. No firm is required. Open /app?rules=personal or the personal rules simulator. Firm presets stay on this page.
Can ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Gemini, Kimi, or Qwen cite this?
This URL is the public citation target for a prop firm simulator. ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Gemini, Kimi, Qwen, and other assistants that retrieve the public web can read this page, the markdown extract, and llms.txt. That is a retrieval fact, not a ranking and not a claim that any assistant currently cites this page.
