A consistency rule does not cap the day. It floors the total.
Numbers first: 18 of 59 rule sets carry a consistency clause; 17 cap the best day at 20–55% of total profit. A $1,500 best day needs $3,000 banked at 50%, $7,500 at 20%. Answer first: the rule holds when best day ≤ limit × total profit, so the binding number is best day ÷ limit: the total to bank before the checkpoint clears. Free path: run your own book against a consistency cap — free.
The clause is a ratio tested at a checkpoint. Solved for the total, it is a floor: best day ÷ limit.
Every consistency clause in the corpus is written as a percentage, and the percentage is the least useful way to hold it. The clause compares the largest single day with the running total at a checkpoint; solved for the total, it is a floor — best day ÷ limit — not a cap on any one day. This page derives that floor, prints it for every rule set that carries the clause, quotes and dates each clause, and computes it live for any inputs.
What this page establishes
The clause is a ratio tested at a checkpoint, not a daily cap. On the first profitable day the ratio is 100% by construction; the test comes at the pass request.
Solved for the total, a limit is a multiple: 50% means 2× the best day, 20% means 5×. Equal steps in the percentage are not equal steps in the demand.
While the clause holds, the largest next day that keeps it is limit × total ÷ (1 − limit) — a ceiling that rises with every profitable day.
A best day at or below limit × target can never engage the clause at the posted target. It is the one figure knowable before the account opens.
Two effect families — raise the target, withhold the pass — clear at the same total, max(target, best day ÷ limit). Neither is account failure.
Funded-stage enforcement, the definition of “day” and the gross-versus-net basis are not in the record. They are marked absent, not assumed.
What a consistency rule measures
Three numbers enter the clause. B is the best day: the largest profit closed on any single trading day so far. T is total profit: the running net gain at the moment the clause is tested. p is the limit, written by the firm as a percentage. The clause holds when the best day is no more than the limit’s share of the total.
Because the same inequality can be solved for T, it is also a statement about the total. Divide both sides by p and the day disappears as the subject:
Read that way, a 50% limit is not “half”. It is a requirement that total profit reach 2× the best day; 20%, the strictest limit in the corpus, requires 5×. The percentage shrinks arithmetically while the multiple grows as its reciprocal, so equal steps in the limit are not equal steps in the demand: moving from 35% to 30% raises the required total by 16.7%, while the same five-point move from 55% to 50% raises it by 10%. The ledger below lists every limit in the corpus as a multiple.
The day-one question. A trader who has just opened an account asks what the most they may make on the first day is. Under the clause as written, the question has no per-day answer: on the first profitable day the best day is the total, so B ÷ T is 100% whatever the limit. Every best-day clause in this corpus is recorded as tested at the pass request — the checkpoint, not the calendar. What a large first day does is fix the release total. A $1,500 first day under a 50% cap sets it at $3,000: another $1,500 must be banked before the checkpoint clears, and every later day that stays at or below $1,500 leaves that figure where it is. Whether the same test is repeated on a funded account or at a payout is not recorded in the corpus for any rule set (section 05).

Terms. Corpus: the firm rule sets read into this site’s rule corpus, each clause dated to its source. Checkpoint: the point at which the firm’s own text says the clause is tested. Definition of the term: glossary.
Two effect families, one condition
Every one of the 65 best-day configurations is recorded as tested at the pass request, and the corpus records two things a firm does when the clause fails there. In 31 configurations (9 rule sets) the posted profit target is raised: the account is not failed, and the figure to reach becomes max(target, best day ÷ limit). In 34 configurations (8 rule sets) the target stays where it was and the pass is withheld until total profit reaches best day ÷ limit.
Arithmetically these are the same requirement. A pass that is withheld until T ≥ B ÷ p, on an account whose target is G, clears when T reaches max(G, B ÷ p) — exactly the raised target of the other family. What differs is bookkeeping: one firm restates the target on the dashboard, the other leaves it posted and holds the checkpoint. The trader’s question in both cases is the same: how far is the total from B ÷ p.
A third, smaller family measures something else. 3 configurations (1 rule set) cap the risk on any single trade as a share of remaining risk capital, tested on every trade. That is a sizing constraint, not a best-day ratio; the release arithmetic on this page does not apply to it, and its row below says so.
The table names rule sets, not firms as such: a firm may publish more than one. Rows are alphabetical. The target column takes each rule set’s clause at one reference account size — $50k where it exists, otherwise the smallest published — so the safe-day ceiling is a real dollar figure at a real target, not a percentage of a percentage. The full list of firms carrying the clause, without arithmetic, is the mechanic page.
Columns in the table below. Safe-day ceiling = limit × target at the reference size: a best day at or below it can never engage the clause once the target is reached. Release multiple = 1 ÷ limit: the total profit required, as a multiple of the best day. Source: the firm document the clause was read from, and the date it was read.

20 best-day rows and 1 per-trade row. Firm names identify published rule sets. A firm may change a clause without notice — its own document is the authority; the retrieval date beside each source is when this corpus read it.
The calculator: what the rule requires right now
Enter the firm’s limit, the profit banked so far, the largest single day so far, and the posted target. The panel answers in sentences: whether the clause holds now, how much total releases it, how large the next day may be, and what happens to the target. The preset limits are the ones present in the corpus; the arithmetic is the identities above, not a model. To see the clause alongside drawdown and time limits on a full rule set, run your own book against a consistency cap — free.

The release arithmetic
Section 01 solved the clause for the total, T* = B ÷ p — the curve in the figure below. A second closed form answers the question a trader asks while the clause currently holds: how large may the next day be? Suppose a day of D is added. If D is not larger than the current best day, the left of the inequality is unchanged and the right only grows, so the clause still holds. If D becomes the new best day, it must satisfy the clause against the new total:
At a 50% limit the ceiling is 100% of the total banked so far; at 40% it is 66.7%; at 20% it is 25%. The ceiling rises with every profitable day, which is the mechanism by which the clause loosens: it is strict on a young account and nearly irrelevant on an old one with a long, even record.
The third form, p × G, is the day that can never engage the clause at the posted target. It is the only one of the three that can be known before the account opens, because it depends on the firm’s numbers alone. The table in section 02 prints it for every rule set.
Evidence class. The three forms are algebraic identities, not model output: given the firm’s limit and the account’s figures they hold exactly. The dollar values on this page are illustrative inputs ($1,500, $2,000, $3,000) chosen for legibility. What the clause costs in probability of passing is a different question, answered by simulation in What a consistency rule costs.
What the corpus does not record
Each clause in the corpus is a structured record with four fields: what is measured, the limit, where it is tested, and what happens when it fails. Several things a trader would want to know are not among them. They are listed here so that their absence on this page is read as a gap in the record, not as a statement that they do not apply.
- FundedWhether the same test is repeated on a funded account, at each payout, or on a different basis. Every best-day clause is recorded at the pass request only; funded-stage enforcement is not recorded for any rule set.
- DayHow the firm defines a “day” — calendar, exchange session, or a reset hour — and whether the best day is measured on closed trades only or includes open positions at the close.
- BasisWhether the total is gross or net of commissions and fees, and whether losing days reduce it (net) or are ignored (gross winning days). The arithmetic here assumes the total is the figure the firm’s own dashboard tests; that assumption is the reader’s to check against the source.
- AfterWhat happens once a raised target is reached — whether the clause is tested again against the new total, and whether a withheld pass has a time limit. Not recorded.
- Phase2 phase clauses have no separately recorded source in the corpus. Where another account size of the same phase carries one, the row cites it and says so; where none does, the row reads “source not recorded” rather than borrowing an earlier phase’s clause: BluSky Trading (Propel) — Buffer Zone, no source at all; BluSky Trading (Launch) — Buffer Zone, no source at all.
- Recheck1 clause carries a recorded disagreement between two independent re-readings of the source; the row is marked. The firm’s own document is the authority.
Rule of the page. Where a fact is not in the record, this page says “not recorded” rather than filling the gap from memory or from a forum. A rule that can be quoted and dated is a fact; a rule that cannot is an absence.
Sources and evidence
Corpus facts (limits, effects, checkpoints, targets) are transcribed from each firm’s published rules and dated to the day they were read; the clause text is quoted beneath each entry. Arithmetic on this page is a set of algebraic identities and is deterministic. Worked dollar figures are labelled illustrative. No pass rate, ranking, or comparative judgment of any named firm is published on this page.
