The finding

Most evaluation stickers in this corpus are still unrecorded — and unrecorded is not free.

A missing pricing.initial_fee means we have not yet transcribed a published checkout number for that configuration. It does not mean the firm charges zero.

Configurations with a transcribed published sticker. The other 180 are unrecorded.

Numbers first: 63 of 243 (25.9%) transcribed; 180 (74.1%) unrecorded — not free; at $100,000 stickers span $189–$750 (3.97×, n=11). Answer first: this is a first-party fee census from the verified rule corpus, not a pass-rate ranking and not PropSurvival's own product price list. Every figure below is computed from rules/** by the build script — never hand-typed on this page.

Key findings

1

63 of 243 configurations (25.9%) carry a transcribed sticker. The field is pricing.initial_fee when a dated firm source backs a number. Across those 63 rows the absolute range is $35–$8,600 (all account sizes).

2

180 of 243 (74.1%) are unrecorded, not free. Null or absent fees are coverage gaps in the transcription, not $0 challenges. Treating missing as free inverts the cost comparison.

3

At $100,000, transcribed stickers span $189–$750 (3.97×, n=11). Same nominal account size; published checkout prices still differ by nearly 3.97×. That is a sticker fact, not a claim about which evaluation is easier to pass.

4

The sticker is still only one attempt. Expected cost to get funded is fee ÷ your own pass probability — see are-prop-firm-challenges-worth-it. This page publishes the fee side of that equation where the corpus has it.

Why there are no pass rates here. A published sticker is a fact about a checkout page. A pass rate is a claim about outcomes under a rule set. We publish the first when sourced; we do not publish the second for any named firm. The free engine computes your own probability from your own statistics, locally.

Methodology

  • Corpus 59 rule-set directories, 43 firm names, 243 account-size JSON files under rules/<slug>/<size>.json (skips golden/ and archive/).
  • Generation tools/build-prop-firm-fee-comparison.js reads those files at build time and emits both this page and research-prop-firm-fee-comparison-data.json. --check regenerates and refuses drift.
  • Recorded vs unrecorded Recorded = pricing.initial_fee is a finite number. Unrecorded = null/absent. Unrecorded is never treated as $0.
  • $100k band The headline range uses only rows with account_size === 100000 and a recorded fee — the common comparison size traders shop.
  • Limitations Stickers change without notice; each firm's live checkout is the authority. This page is a dated corpus snapshot (2026-08-20), not a live price API. It does not include PropSurvival product tiers ($29 / $79 / $199).
